The one with Friends Fest

Remember in secondary school when teachers made you say a 'fun fact' about yourself as an ice-breaker? Well, mine was always that I could quote any F.R.I.E.N.D.S episode. So when I managed to get Friends Fest tickets this year you can imagine how hyped I was! It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say I've been waiting for this day for years.

We went to the Friends Fest in Kenington Park, London but there are locations all over the UK. The doors opened at 12 and we had a set tour at pretty much as soon as we arrived.
The set tour was probably my favourite part of the whole thing! It was 30 minutes long, with 10 minutes in each of Joey and Chandler's, Ross' and Rachel and Monica's apartments which felt surreal. I was amazed at how much detail they had put into the sets - they even filled up Joey's fridge with take away boxes.

I loved seeing all the original props (including Phoebe's guitar and my personal favourite Pat the Dog). They clearly recruit superfans to work at the event because the guide was really knowledgable and told us loads of cool facts about the cast as we went along the tour.

As well at the set tour, they had recreated different sets where you could recreate all the best moments like the Pivot scene, Ross and Rachel getting married in Vegas and the title scene in front of the fountain. They also had Phoebe's taxi which you could take pictures in.

It was such a hot and sunny day, so the outside seating area with a huge screen playing episodes of the show was just the place to be. We bought some cheesecake (thank you Mrs Braverman) and chilled in the sun. They also had Friends themed cocktails, pizza (with the Joey special) and Oh my God hotdogs. Every so often a host would come to the stage and host a quiz for the audience.... we could definitely tell who the superfans were!

I also loved the recreation of Central Perk, complete with a Phoebe tribute act singing all the favourites, and the iconic orange sofa. Overall, it was a solid day of fan-girling. I would definitely recommend to any F.R.I.E.N.D.S fan, I mean what's not to like? Photo opportunities- good. Sets- good. Atmosphere- GOOOD!
