Bubble Waffles @ Nosteagia, Green Park
Carrying on with my London dessert posts, I introduce .... Nosteagia! You've no doubt seen their bubble waffles on Instagram. This is a van-business started by 2 graduate students who wanted to bring Asian and English food together, with the Bubble Waffle being inspired by the Egg Puff in Hong Kong.
I had the Cookie Monster- nutella, a chocolate chip cookie, cream and chocolate sauce. This was sooo good- crisp and crunchy on the outside but chewy on the inside. I was going to ask for it without the cream as I don't like it, but on reflection I'm glad I didn't because it would've ruined the aesthetic.
My friend had the King Chocolate- M&Ms, kitkats, cream and chocolate sauce. Both looked and tasted so good, but quite hard to eat if I'm honest. I don't really know if I ate it right, I kind of scooped out and ate the cream and cookies and then ate the waffle and nutella separately.
Honestly, this place is a hidden gem. The van is positioned in a square area off the main road opposite Green Park, where there are a few other vans including hot dogs and hog roasts (which looked good but we were only interested in the dessert), with a grassy garden bit in the middle where you could sit.
We were really lucky with the weather, so we sat in the garden area bit opposite the van, which was really peaceful considering we were in a touristy area.
But on to what you actually want to know about - the dessert.

The two things sold are bubble waffles and bubble tea- so naturally we got bubble tea too. I'd never had bubble tea until uni, but now I just love it. I got passion fruit tea with mango bubbles, and my friend got mango tea with lychee bubbles. Not gonna lie, I preferred my friend's (we switched half way through). The bubble tea was actually cheaper than Bubbleology, where I normally get it, and tasted better too. Probably because Nosteagia import their ingredients from Taiwan.
As I said the van is just opposite Green Park so we walked and sat there to drink our bubble tea. This was such a nice place to go for dessert, I feel like it was a good day for us because the weather was so nice- I can't imagine where we would've sat if it was raining.
But there you have it! If you're ever in Green Park checking out Buckingham Palace, don't hesitate to pop over and get a bubble waffle. I think they are opening a new store in Shoreditch as well.
For now ☺
