Where to get the BIGGEST pancakes in London- My Old Dutch, Soho

I've been meaning to go to My Old Dutch for aaggeesss now, and on a couple of hours break we had between our lectures we decided to pop over for lunch in Holborn. Even from the outside, the restaurant looked colourful and vibrant. The inside was the same!

It was a hard decision on which crepe to get- sweet or savoury???? I have a massive sweet tooth, but I'd never had a savoury crepe before. In the end, I went with a savoury one called 'Some like it hot'- chicken, cheese, onions and peppers and a lovely thick pancake. It all worked so well, and the chicken was really well spiced- I wasn't expecting it to be that good!

The next time I went, I got the 'My Old Dutch'- smoked bacon, chicken, ham, peppers, mushrooms, sweetcorn and cheese. I didn't think you could get better than the 'Some Like It Hot', but I was wrong! I don't usually like having different meats in the same dish, but it worked so well, and the veggies and cheese brought it all together.

Gavi got the 'Chocolate Sprinkles' which I had some of, and it was so good. I thought it would be too sickly, and surprisingly it wasn't too bad, but I thought the chocolate ice cream was a bit too much.

On mondays, the pancakes are £5.95 which is AMAZING value for money. They are twice the size of my head and incredibly filling. It was quite busy so I would recommend if you're going on Monday to go for early lunch/brunch, as you will have to wait in a long queue if you go around lunchtime, and I'm not sure if they take bookings.

Two of my friends had the genius idea of one person getting a savoury and one a sweet and then sharing them half and half. I tried some of the 'Compote of berries' which had alllll the berries and was really good, especially with the vanilla ice cream and melted chocolate.

The service was good as well (perhaps a little slow but it was quite busy). I would definitely recommend My Old Dutch (especially on a Monday- we're already planning on going again) for a delicious and filling meal whether you're a sweet or savoury person.
